Moroccans who are
formally registered in a Moroccan university
doctoral program may apply for a special grant from
the Commission to undertake dissertation research
and consultation at an American university with an
American co-advisor. The maximum duration of this
grant is 12 months, which may be divided up into
three trips with the Commission covering round-trip
transportation. It is the responsibility of the
applicant to establish ties with an American
professor willing to serve as co-supervisor for the
dissertation. Strong applications will include
documentation indicating clear commitment on the
part of the US professor to serve as co-advisor. A
recent TOEFL score (or an official ALIGU score from
an American Language Center) should accompany the
application. The deadline for receipt of
applications is early December for grants beginning
the following summer.
